A wildlife refuge, Lovers Key State Park, and its surrounding waters are home to West Indian manatees, bottlenose dolphins, roseate spoonbills, marsh rabbits, and bald eagles. Accessible by boardwalk or tram, the two-mile long beach is a popular destination for shelling, swimming, picnicking and sunbathing. Additionally, there are miles of hiking and bicycling trails found within the park. The park also houses a concession which offers kayak tours, as well as bicycle, canoe, kayak, paddleboard, beach chair and umbrella rentals.
The Mound House
